Living the polished life.

4th of Julyfingers: 3 Easy Nail Art Ideas

Between USA playing in the World Cup tomorrow and the 4th of July just a few days away this is the perfect week to not only wear your American pride on your sleeve, but also on your Ladyfingers. Sure– American flag nail art will always be the obvious choice, but in case you’re like me and love to go against the grain, here are few out-of-the-box ideas to make sure your 4th of Julyfingers explode like fireworks.

All of these are super easy and require just a few steps. Here’s what you’ll need to create these looks: Alpine Snow by OPI,  Too Too Hot (or similar) by Essie, Blue Bombshell by Maybelline, nail stripers/pens like these, and Matte Maker by JinSoon.  So pin/reblog your favorite, give it a go, and don’t forget to hashtag #4thofJulyfingers so I can see! Have a great long weekend everyone. Oh, and– GO USA!

xx,

4thFingers 1

1. Start with a full white nail

2. With a red nail art pen, draw two vertically elongated diamond shapes

3. Paint elongated ‘Vs’ in the existing space with a blue nail art pen

4. Add smaller diamonds in the spaces that remain in opposite colors and fill them in

5. Top it off with matte top coat

4thFingers 2

1. Start with a full white nail

2. Paint the top portion of your nail red and blue along the tip

3. With a nail striper and red polish, creat 2-3 more lines downwards along your nail

4. Repeat with a blue striper going upwards

5. Touch up the white lines with a white striper

6. Top it off with matte top coat (my fave 🙂 for cool effect)

4thFingers 3

1. Start with a full white nail

2. With a red nail striper, create a * by making two +’s in the center of your nail

3. With a blue nail striper or pen, hash around the * you just made

4. Alternate colors until you reach the edge of your nail

5. Paint along the edge of your nail in the last color that made it there to clean up the lines

6. Top it off with top coat
