Living the polished life.

A Summer Breeze and Palm Trees

If there’s one staple item that straddles the line of excessiveness in my closet, it’s the pullover sweatshirt. Never have I met a creature of warmth that lends itself so easily to fashion. And on a breezy day like today, this sweatshirt is perfection. With just a push-up of the sleeve, a statement necklace, or even an iconic print– you have the making of an outfit that will get you from a cool summer day into night. Pair it with a skirt or your favorite ripped jeans and sandals for the perfect beginning-of-summer outfit.

SOMEONE learned how to make GIFS (!!!), which is really exciting.

1. Start with a full white nail

Topshop 1

2. With a green nail art striper create the stems of the palm fronds going in different directions

Topshop 2

3. Feather out the leaves from each one

Topshop 3

4. With white polish and a dotter tool layer little flowers on top of the palm fronds

Topshop 6

5. Dot the center of the flowers with light pink polish

Topshop 8

6. Top it off with top coat!

I much prefer the step by step. The gif is almost too fast to follow. The step by step makes it easy for me to stop and evaluate what I’ve been doing and compare. Maybe the gif can be an addition to the step by step photos.

Ok, thanks Deanna! Noted. 🙂 I will add a step-by-step for you.

The sweatshirt is gorgeous, as are the nails. I like the step by step pictures. Not sure about the ripped jeans though. Was never a fan first time round

Totally stunning pattern! I love the gif animation and how the palm trees are literally growing on your nails :))

PLEASE put in an email link for following! You used to have a Bloglovin link and I followed that way but it’s not a great way to follow I find as the alerts that come never have a photo and your title line is burred in about 40 others in the little email that comes to alert me of new posts en mass – I can’t use any RSS reader options and I won’t ever use Facebook – they are too horrible with their lack of privacy — please, please add an email option – no one needs any sort of extra anything to view email and follow a link in an email off to the web’s foolpoof no matter what type of device one is using.
