Living the polished life.

MANICURE MUSE: Beyonce for H&M

If you’re like me with summer on the brain, you might be scouring the stores and internet high and low for affordable swimwear that will both motivate getting your ass to the gym, but also stand out on the beach. Enter the Beyonce for H&M Swim campaign. Queen Bey modeling swimwear should be enough to envision your next workout (and start a “Single Ladies” flash mob on the beach). The collection features swim inspired by the elements Fire, Earth, Wind, and Water. This tie-dye number is already in my bathing suit drawer, not just because it’s hot. This suit also happens to be from the H&M for Water line, which means 25% of sales will be donated to WaterAid, an organization that helps children in Africa and Asia get clean water. Get after it.

To emulate this look, I used Blanc and Where’s My Chauffeur by Essie, New Money by Ginger + Liz, a nail art brush, and OPI’s Matte Top Coat.

To get these Ladyfingers:

1. Start with a full white nail

2. Using light blue polish and a nail art brush create light brush strokes in curved shapes on the nail

3. Using a darker blue/green polish, layer on top of the light blue lines you just made letting them peak through

4. While the polish is slightly still wet, apply OPI’s Matte Top coat to smear the dark polish slightly to create the tie dye effect

Loving this varnish. Looks great even if worn on a outfit far from that bikini set.
