The fashion and beauty industries are incredible in the way that they are always changing. But these days, a trend has a limited time in the spotlight before it’s replaced. In the nail polish world, new innovations are coming out all the time. Crackle polish paved the way for magnetic polish, and now velvet and caviar polishes are having a moment. Instead of letting your crackle polish collect dust in the bottom of your bin, get creative and integrate it into your design. Let’s use this look from Christian Dior’s Spring ’13 collection as inspiration.
To emulate this look, I used Floral Street by Nails Inc, Our Fuschia’s Looking Bright from the Kardashian Kollection from Nicole by OPI, and Carbon Frost crackle by Maybelline’s Color Show.
To get these Ladyfingers:
1. Start with a full fuchsia nail
2. Paint two white horizontal lines. Try not to make the lines perfect to make it look more organic under the next layer.
3. Apply black crackle
4. Top it off with top coat
