Monster goth goes femme for Christopher Kane’s quirky Spring ’13 collection. Frankenstein gets the runway treatment quite literally as the source of inspiration. Offbeat details like rubbery bows and black electrical tape (pictured here) make ladylike looks an edge, but it’s the Frankenstein screen tees that give the collection an electric jolt. I’m going to need one of those ASAP.
To emulate this look, I used Chiffon Chic by Maybelline’s Color show mixed with Demi Cup by Ginger+Liz to create the perfect pink, Floral Street by Nails Inc, a black Sally Hansen nail art pen, Quimica Alemana base coat, and Seche Vite’s Fast Dry Top coat.
To get these ladyfingers:
1. Start with 4 light pink nails with 1 white
2. Create the electrical tape effect with your nail art pen by creating a stack of offbeat horizontal lines down the center of your white nail
3. Using a nail art brush or small paintbrush, paint swirls within a triangular space to create the lace effect
4. Add offbeat lines with your black nail art pen
5. Top it off with top coat
