“Some fairy tales end with the girl marrying the prince… some start there.” And so began the DVF Spring ’13 collection that the designer explained was a reflection of her own personal fairy tale. Wouldn’t it have been a trip to capture the early days of von Furstenberg? Damn the technology that didn’t exist back then. Luckily, our favorite pioneer woman partnered with Google this season to create a glass-less lens glasses called, Glass, that actually capture the wearer’s experience. The collection is vibrant with Furstenberg’s signature Bohemian spirit. There are tons of pretty colors, bold print, and shine and sparkle that will be sure to make any lady feel like a DVF princess.
To emulate this look, I used World’s End by Topshop, Blue Collar by Orly, Too Too Hot by Essie, and a nail striper.
To get these ladyfingers:
1. Start with a full light blue nail
2. Using a mid-tone blue, paint symmetrical swirly stripes down both sides of the nail
3. Outline the swirly shape in bright red with the nail striper
4. Top it off with top coat
