MANICURE MUSE: Emanuel Ungaro Resort ’14

Apart from designing amazing pieces, the other half of the battle is how you put those amazing pieces together (aka styling). It is a rare skill and you definitely need to have an eye for it. I can openly admit to days when I put a little—ok, way— too much thought into looking “effortlessly” cool. But hey, that’s the fun of getting dressed. Inspiration is everywhere (specifically here) and there was tons of it in Emanuel Ungaro’s Resort ’14 collection. Bomber jackets paired with long slitted skirts, cropped vests with shift dresses, and graphic florals paired with gladiator sandals merged luxe and street and commanded attention. If you measure a well-styled outfit by the number of construction worker whistles and girl glare-downs, be prepared to stop traffic in one of these.

To emulate this look, I used Alpine Snow by OPI, Onyx Rush by Maybelline, and a blue nail art brush.

To get these Ladyfingers:

1. Start with a full white nail

2. Paint one half of your nail black

3. Using a dotter tool dot larger dots of the opposite color on each section filled in by smaller dots

5. Using a nail art brush, paint a blue stripe down the center of the nail

6. Top it off with top coat

Wow. Great Step by Step instructions here…Thanks for the tips! I’ve recently had to switch to a polish free nail wrap due to the harsh chemicals wreaking havoc on my nails! Jamberry has over 300 designs and anyone can make a great part time income by joining and just wearing them out in public!!!
