British designer, Jonathan Saunders, has a knack for making unisex separates stand out no matter the model’s gender. Ever since working on menswear, his values of comfort and ease have crossed over into womenswear collections that any girl who’s mantra is “comfort is key” will appreciate and ultimately covet. For Pre-Fall ’14 this came by way of drapey trousers and slouchy sweaters done up in punchy quirky colors— all while maintaining a cool British charm. This sweater caught my eye. The colors demand attention as they clashing yet somehow work together. If these colors aren’t for you, feel free to change them up. The effect is just as impactful with this “jailbird” effect. (Totally coining that phrase BTW). For more Jonathan Saunders Ladyfingers, click here.
To emulate this look, I used Porcelain Party by Maybelline’s Color Show, All I Want for Christmas is OPI and The “It” Color by OPI, and a black nail striper.
To get these Ladyfingers:
1. Freehand paint the top third of your nail white. If you can’t freehand well, put any kind of oil around your cuticle– it will make for easy clean-up
2. Paint the middle third portion of your nail deep red
3. Paint the bottom third of your nail deep yellow
4. With a black nail striper, paint super thin vertical lines very close together
5. Top it off with top coat
