The anticipation of a Marc Jacobs show is intense. Considering he’s the mastermind behind Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, and Marc by Marc Jacobs, his shows are always a tell-tale sign of where fashion is going (according to him). Typically, when Marc says jump, we ask “how high?” After a Fall season of excess, it was quite a surprise to see Marc had distilled his collection down to a motif familiar to us: The Stripe. Thick bold stripes followed long silhouettes. They were rescaled, ombréd, and colored for a pop art feel. But it was the stripe that morphed into a geometric print for eveningwear that made me double take. This dress in particular is the perfect holiday dress and translates into the perfect holiday nail.
To emulate this look, I used Strike Gold by VS Beauty, Floral Street by Nails Inc, and a black nail art pen.
To get these Ladyfingers:
1. Start with a full gold nail
2. Create white stripes using a nail art brush
3. Outline your lines with a black nail art pen
4. Top it off with top coat
