Dare I say it? It’s almost sweater weather! I admittedly have already begun my Fall shopping (insert guilty Bitmoji). In two months under all the layers and blankets I’ll definitely regret rushing Fall too soon, but how can you help it when the Fall fashion is just so good? The answer is: transition-wear. Pair your Summer whites with Fall hues. Add textures to your feminine pieces. And my favorite style of all… toppers with shorts. Encompassing all of these ideas is Rochas’ Resort ’16 collection. The color palette is a beautiful range of mustard with blush, black, white and orange and the simplicity of the collection comes off in exaggerated silhouettes. This graphic topper with the mustard stripe layered on top of lace culottes is giving me life– and holding me over as the final countdown of summer begins.
Sometimes more is more. Sometimes less is more. In this case it’s the latter. Here’s how to get the look yourself:
1. Start with a full white nail
2. With a striper and yellow polish, create two horizontal lines as a guide
3. Fill in the remaining middle portion with the regular sized brush that comes in the bottle. For best coverage, paint left to right–
4. Top it off with matte top coat for flattening effect
