MLF’s Gift Guide for the Manicure Maven

It’s holiday season which means hunting down the perfect gifts (a task I personally find daunting). I could always use a little help and absolutely love finding new products with gift guides, so I thought I’d make one for the Manicure Mavens. Here are the products that are at the top of my list…

1. NCLA x Glamour: Bibhu Mohapatra Nail Wraps, $16

I adore NCLA nail wraps, so when I saw they teamed up with Glamour to make runway-inspired nail wraps my heart skipped a beat. The capsule collection features looks from Derek Lam, L’Wren Scott, Peter Som, and even the Bibhu Mohapatra look that inspired this Ladyfinger. The best part? $5 from each purchase will be donated to Girls Who Code, a non-profit dedicated to empowering and educating girls to pursue careers in technology and engineering.

2. Julep Reveal: Nail Growth Revitalizing System, $46

Nail care is just as important as skin care, especially to maintain healthy, glowing, and strong nails. I use this Julep two-step system religiously. It stimulates keratin genes to help the nail grow and nourishes the nail with Vitamin E.

3. Ciate Caviar Mini Bar, $29

The Ciate Caviar Mini Bar is perfect for the manicure lover that loves to stray from the traditional manicure. This kit comes with 4 polishes, 4 caviar beads, and a funnel so you can mix and create your perfect caviar manicure.

4. Dannijo Rubik Ring, $170

My manicures are never complete without the finger bling to complement them. I’m obsessed with this statement Dannijo Rubik Ring. It’s definitely a showstopper.

5. Tom Ford 4-Piece Nail Lacquer Box Set, $120

The Tom Ford 16-Piece Nail Laquer Box Set is one of the most coveted gifts in the fashion and beauty industries this season. While I wouldn’t put it past me to spend $480 on nail polish, the more affordable option is the 4-piece set for $120. Still the same gorgeous colors and your wallet will thank you.

6. Fresh Seaberry Restorative Body Cream, $10/$28.50

This is one of my favorite scented lotions ever and it’s the perfect stocking-stuffer. I keep one in my purses to remind me to moisturize my hands. It’s hard to forget when it smells delicious and feels amazing.

7. Catbird Alphabet Rings, $96

I love Catbird jewelry. Their pieces are so dainty and wearable for everyday. With these alphabet rings, you can customize a few with someone’s initials, but you can’t go wrong with the ampersand.

8. Azature Black Diamond Nail Polish, $25

Remember the $250,000 manicure that contained real black diamonds? Well, us normal folk can have one too. Azature Black Diamond Nail Polish contains one black diamond in each bottle. I love that you can still give the gift of luxury at an affordable price, not to mention it’s one of my go-to black polishes.

9. RGB Nail Color Remove Pads, $28

I am constantly changing my nail polish, so using nail polish remover without toxic chemicals is really important to me. RGB is a health conscious brand, so I love using their products. These nail polish remover pads are natural and non-toxic. Plus, they are individually wrapped which makes this box a perfect gift for a girl on the go.

10. Illamasqua Nail Varnish Duo in Viridian & Glitterati , $25

Now that Emerald has been declared as the 2013 Pantone Color of the Year,  it’s time to stock up on emerald green nail polish. Illamasqua makes this great duo of the striking green, Viridian, and the perfect party polish, Glitterati, that will take you straight into the new year.

11. Deborah Lippmann Cuticle Remover, $20

In all my years of being nail obsessed, the one rule I’ve learned is: don’t cut your cuticles. Cuticles protect us from bacteria entering our bodies and it’s a common misconception that cuticle oil removes dead skin. Nope, you need a cuticle remover for that. Deborah Lippmann has a whole line of nail care products, along with great tips and information about why each product is important. This cuticle remover is an essential for the manicure maven.

12. Dana Rebecca Sylvie Rose Ring, $330

Mom, Dad? If you’re reading, this ring is on top of my list. Dana Rebecca Jewelry are timelesss pieces, and I looooooove the Sylvie Rose ring in black with black diamonds. It comes a variety of ways, so if you’re more of a gold kind of gal, there’s one for you too. Swoon.

13. Maybelline Color Show’s Bold Gold, $3.99

The perfect gold and the perfect stocking stuffer.
