STREET STYLE: Miroslava Duma in Christopher Kane

STREET STYLE: Miroslava Duma in Christopher Kane

My favorite street style shots are the ones that can double as fashion editorial… the kind when you almost catch yourself drooling and green with closet envy. This happens most frequently whenever I see a new street style shot of my girl crush, Miroslava Duma. If you don’t know Miroslava Duma, you should. The uber-chic former Harper’s Bazaar Russia editor is a street style sensation who puts fashion photographers in a tizzy. Here she was spotted outside of Paris Couture Fashion week in this spectacular dropped waist Christopher Kane that reminded me of a summer sunset. With summer coming to a close, I thought it to be only fitting that we honor the end summer and start NYFW with Miroslava/Christopher Kane summer sunset ladyfingers…

To emulate this look, I used Dancehall Queen by Ginger+Liz, Keep Up the Flame by Maybelline’s Color Show, Glenn by Julep, The “It” Color by OPI, Neon Yellow by Color Club Duo, tape, a paper plate, and a sponge.

To get these ladyfingers:

1. Tape around your nails using Scotch tape

2. Start with a full orange nail

3. Using a paper plate, drop a few drops of red

4. With a sponge, dab the red polish onto the bottom portion of your nail

5. Repeat steps 2/3 with dark red layering on top at the bottom most part of your nail

6. Repeat steps 2/3 again with yellow but sponge the polish to the top portion of your nail leaving some orange exposed in between

7. With a nail art brush, lightly polish neon yellow in the top left portion of your nail to enhance the gradient

8. Top it off with top coat
